The Mykolaiv Regional Tax Service, together with the police, inspected a modular gas station in the region.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv Oblast.

It turned out that the station was selling fuel without a license—a document that grants the right to engage in retail fuel sales. This is a direct violation of tax law.

During the inspection, several violations were discovered. In addition to the lack of a license, the station was also in violation of labor laws—likely involving unregistered employees.

The case materials were forwarded to the relevant labor authority for further action.

The gas station owner was fined over 700,000 hryvnias for the violations found.

The tax authority emphasized that fuel may only be sold with a valid license and all necessary permits. Inspections are conducted using a risk-based approach—that is, primarily at locations where violations are suspected.

Earlier, law enforcement officials successfully sought through the courts the return of funds that the community had overpaid for fuel for schools and kindergartens in the Mykolaiv region. The court fully upheld the prosecutor’s office’s claim, and the funds are to be returned to the local budget.

Meanwhile, in Odesa, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) uncovered a scheme through which Ukrainian funds were being funneled to Russia. A local businesswoman was purchasing Russian liquefied gas through an Austrian intermediary.

According to the investigation, the co-owner and director of Energoimpex LLC organized the supply of Russian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) through an Austrian intermediary, knowing the product’s true origin and its connection to the aggressor state.

The total amount of the transactions exceeded 2,059,350 U.S. dollars and 731,017 euros.
