In Odesa, a man was found guilty of agreeing, in exchange for a monthly payment of $300, to serve as the nominal founder and director of Oil-Globaltrans LLC. The court sentenced him to a fine of 136,000 hryvnias.

This is stated in the verdict of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa.

The defendant signed registration documents containing knowingly false information as part of a prior conspiracy with unidentified individuals, with no intention of engaging in actual business activities. He provided his documents for the preparation of the registration papers and signed them before a notary, knowing that they contained false information regarding his role in the company. These documents were subsequently submitted to the state registrar, who, unaware of the criminal intent, registered the changes.

The man did not, in fact, carry out any activities as a director or founder; he did not manage accounts, file reports, rent an office, or perform any similar duties.

The defendant pleaded guilty. Headmitted that he had not actually read the documents he signed and did not even know the name of the company. When the defendant began to be summoned for questioning, the person who had arranged the registration disappeared, and all contact with him was lost.

Oil-Globaltrans LLC is registered at a legal address on Kulikovo Pole in Odesa. In December 2024, car sales and wholesale trade in electrical goods were added to the company’s list of business activities. According to investigators, the company may have been used for potential tax evasion.

Previously, the Odesa tax service succeeded in overturning court rulings in favor of two local companies that had entered into contracts to supply corn and oil worth over 27 million hryvnias. The Supreme Court remanded the case for a new trial because the lower courts had failed to verify the actual movement of the goods and whether the companies had warehouses to store them.
