A court fined a resident of the Odesa region for organizing a network of illegal gas stations

<span><span><span><span><span><span>In the Odesa region, a court handed down a verdict against the organizer of an illegal gas station. The man was fined, and the equipment and fuel were confiscated. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>This was reported by the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>A 29-year-old resident of the Bolhrad district organized a network of illegal gas stations in Odesa and the village of Avangard. Without a license or state registration, he purchased fuel of unknown origin at prices significantly below market rates and sold it to consumers.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The suspect installed fuel tanks, fuel dispensers, and other equipment along roadsides. The fuel was sold for cash; the transactions were not recorded in the accounting records; and the gas stations operated without proper fuel quality control or tax payments.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>During searches, BEB detectives seized 35 metric tons of diesel fuel, gasoline, and liquefied petroleum gas, as well as equipment, tanks, and structures. The illegal gas stations were completely dismantled. The total value of the seized items is four million hryvnias. 14,100 liters of the seized diesel fuel were transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier in the Odesa region, the grounds of a gas station were damaged as a result of enemy shelling. The strike damaged a gas pump and a passenger car. A fire also broke out, which was extinguished by emergency responders. No reports of casualties have been received.
