Reports of strikes on energy facilities have emerged from occupied Crimea

On the night of July 2, explosions and gunfire were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The occupying authorities issued an air raid alert in Sevastopol, while local Telegram channels reported explosions in several areas of the peninsula.

This was reported by Krym.Realii, citing local monitoring channels and the occupying authorities.

The so-called “governor” of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, declared an air raid alert at 3:21 a.m., which lasted about two hours. At the same time, the occupying administration did not release any official information about the consequences of the attack or possible hits.

According to the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” citing local residents, at least two explosions were heard in Sevastopol. There were also reports of a powerful explosion near the thermal power plant in Simferopol and possible strikes in Feodosia.

According to the channel, three possible strikes were recorded in Feodosia near the oil depot and another one in the area of Mount Tepe-Oba, where radar station positions are reportedly located.

In addition, “Crimean Wind,” citing satellite imagery, reported fires at two electrical substations. These are the 220 kV “Donuzlav” substation in western Crimea and the 110/35/10 kV “Mityaevo” substation in the Saki District.

According to the outlet, the “Donuzlav” substation is one of the key nodes in the power grid of the western part of the peninsula, while the “Mityaevo” substation supplies electricity to nearby settlements and is connected to a 32 MW solar power plant.

The occupying forces’ Telegram channels did not publish any details regarding the alleged drone attack, aside from the air raid alert.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine announced a successful strike on the“Saki” military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to preliminary reports, the drones struck hangars housing Russian Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets.
