The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a large-scale nighttime special operation in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The strikes targeted the naval base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol and the Belbek military airfield.

According to the SBU, the operation was carried out by fighters of the Alpha unit using drones.

As a result of the attack, a number of key military targets of the occupiers were damaged, including the large landing ships Yamal and Filchenkov, the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs, the Lukomka training center, the headquarters of the radio technical intelligence of the air defense forces, the Cape M1 radar station, as well as the MiG 31 aircraft and the technical infrastructure of the Belbek airfield.

According to the acting head of the SBU, Yevhen Khmara, such operations are systematic and aimed at weakening key components of the Russian military machine.

He emphasized that Ukraine will continue to destroy the enemy's military infrastructure, including the navy, aviation, intelligence and air defense systems.

As a reminder, as a result of night strikes on the occupiers, suburban electric trains have been suspended in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol on the Sevastopol - Inkerman-1 section.

Earlier, Intent wrote that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian authorities are massively confiscating land and houses from people who have legally registered their plots.

Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at a number of air defense facilities of the Russian troops, including radar stations and an anti-aircraft missile system.

On the evening of April 7 and on the night of April 8, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In particular, an explosion was reported near Simferopol at about 21:50, after which a fighter jet was taken off from the Belbek airfield.
