Odesa tax officer lied in her declaration

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption reported that it had <span>found UAH 15.1 million worth of inaccuracies in the declaration of Natalia Munika, head of the tax audit department of the Southern Interregional Department of the State Tax Service for Large Taxpayers.</span>

According to the NACP, this refers to the financial report for 2022, in which the official did not declare gifts in the form of corporate rights.

In particular, the man received corporate rights in ATC Success LLC worth UAH 22.6 million and in Intercomers-Multimodal LLC worth UAH 833.3 thousand for free, which qualifies as a gift. This income was not reflected in the section "Income, including gifts", which led to inaccuracies in the amount of UAH 14.9 million. Natalia Munika explained that she filled out the declaration according to her husband's words, but she did not confirm this.

The declaration also contained incorrect information about the land plot, including the date of acquisition, area and cadastral number. The value of the residential building (165.5 square meters) and the land plot (20 thousand square meters) owned by her husband was not confirmed due to the lack of documents.

In addition, she did not declare her husband's liabilities to ElevatorServiceGroup LLC in the amount of UAH 5 million due to failure to contribute to the authorized capital, which is contrary to the requirements of the law.

Earlier, the declaration of Andrii Rozov , Director of the Economic Development Department of Odesa City Council, contained UAH 6.2 million worth of false information. The NACP checked the official's declaration for 2022 and concluded that Rozov did not indicate in the document property totaling more than UAH 6.2 million.

Meanwhile, experts of the all-Ukrainian public campaign "Certification of Local Council Deputies" analyzed the declarations of deputies of the Odesa City Council for 2021-2024. According to data from the Unified State Register of Declarations, in 2024, the deputies and their family members declared UAH 1 billion in cash, and another UAH 129.9 million in bank accounts. The total income of the MPs for the year amounted to UAH 349.6 million, and they also own 154 residential properties and 160 hectares of land.
