Violations found in 46 percent of declarations of officials from Odesa region

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption reported that in April 2025, it completed 83 full audits of declarations selected under a new risk-based approach.

Violations were found in each of the verified declarations, the NACP said.

In total, during the first four months of this year, the NACP completed 317 full audits of declarations, 171 declarations, i.e. 54% of the audited ones, revealed signs of declaring false information totaling almost UAH 1.5 billion, eight declarations revealed signs of illicit enrichment totaling UAH 372.3 million, 10 declarations revealed signs of unreasonable assets totaling UAH 60.6 million, and four declarants had signs of conflict of interest.

In addition, the most frequent cases of declaring false information were found in the following regions:

The top ten declarations with violations included the financial report of the head of the department of the Cyber Police Department in Odesa region for 2023, which revealed signs of inaccurate information worth more than UAH 11.1 million. the audit materials were attached to the criminal proceedings under Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which are being investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation.
