Declarations of two MPs from Odesa region found to be unreliable

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has sent to the National Police of Ukraine substantiated conclusions of the verification of declarations of two deputies from Bolhrad district of Odesa region.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the NACP press service.

These are the financial reports of the deputies for 2024. The deputy of Tarutino village council of Bolhrad district found false information worth more than UAH 3.4 million, and the deputy of Bolhrad district council of Odesa region - more than UAH 8.3 million.

If the elected officials are tried and found guilty, they face a fine of four thousand to six thousand tax-free minimum incomes, up to restraint of liberty for up to two years, or imprisonment for the same term, with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years. It depends on the paragraph of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The NACP also handed over the results of the declaration verification to the police:

In the last two cases, it is an administrative offense - violation of financial control requirements.
