The Southern Office of the State Audit Service handed over to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office the materials based on the results of the audit of City Hospital No. 8 in Odesa.

According to the press service of the Southern Office of the State Audit Service, based on the results of the audit of certain issues of the hospital's financial and economic activities, the auditors found financial violations that led to losses totaling more than UAH 22.6 million.

The violations are related to the hospital's failure to comply with the terms of contracts concluded with the National Health Service of Ukraine on medical care under the medical guarantees program.

"Thus, the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise "City Hospital No. 8" unreasonably received funds from the NHSU for medical services under six packages of medical care, which it could not actually provide in full due to the lack of the required number of doctors and specialists, as provided for in the terms of the contracts. In addition, the institution found that there were no inpatient nurses who had undergone the necessary highly specialized professional training in palliative care," the audit service said.

A report on violation of procurement legislation was drawn up and sent to court.

Earlier, after the audit, the Center for Financing and Economic Activity of Educational Institutions of Khadzhybeyskyi District of Odesa terminated the agreement with the company that organized meals for children at the Odesa Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training.

In February, auditors from the Southern Office of the State Audit Service completed an audit of certain financial and economic activities of the Children's City Polyclinic No. 2 and found financial irregularities that led to losses totaling more than UAH 1 million.
