A hurricane hits the north of Odesa region

Sudden bad weather in the form of strong winds hit the towns of Podilsk and Ananiev in Odesa Oblast.

According to local residents, in Ananiev, the storm looked like a tornado, while the State Emergency Service in Odesa region did not confirm the information about this type of hurricane to Intent.

"There were strong gusts of wind in Podilskyi district. In some places, the roofs of houses were damaged. The roof of a school was also damaged," the SES press service said.

As a result, the power supply in Podilsk and Ananiev is disrupted. Meanwhile, the Black and Azov Sea Hydrometeorological Center announced a storm warning and predicted on April 6 that northwesterly winds of 12-17 meters per second and significant sea waves are expected along the coast of Odesa region on April 7.
