Ministry of Education orders to elect rector of Odesa Agrarian University

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi has ordered to hold elections for the rector of Odesa Agrarian University.

This is stated in the order of the Ministry.

In particular, the elections are to be held on September 24. Currently, the university is temporarily headed by Mykhailo Broshkov. In April 2018, Mykhailo Broshkov won the election of the rector of Odesa State Agrarian University.

He was born on July 24, 1977, in the village of Chervonoarmiyske, Bolhrad district, Odesa region. After graduating from Chervonoarmiyske eight-year school in 1993, he entered Petrovsky State Farm College, majoring in veterinary medicine, and graduated in 1997.

In the same year, he entered the Odesa State Agrarian University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from the university in 2002, he worked as chief veterinarian of the farm, veterinary and sanitary expert, and head of the State Hospital of Veterinary Medicine. He is the owner of a private veterinary clinic.

Earlier, the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi ordered the dismissal of Mykhailo Miyusov from the post of rector of the National University "Odesa Maritime Academy" and his replacement with Vadym Zakharchenko, who previously held the post of vice-rector.

The Center for Public Investigations also analyzed the declarations of the heads of higher education institutions that were included in the TOP-10 rating of Osvita.ua. The study included the rectors of the Odesa National University, Odesa Polytechnic, Medical, Technological, Economic, Pedagogical, Maritime, Construction, Law Universities, and the International Humanitarian University. The highest income was declared by Valeriy Zaporozhan (ONMedU) - UAH 2.2 million.
