In the Kherson region, more than 2.5 million hryvnias in expenditures from the 2026 regional budget have been reallocated. The funds were directed toward the regional socioeconomic development program, specifically to finance measures to support law enforcement officers.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, signed an order amending the Kherson region’s 2026 budget. The document provides for adjustments to the allocation of budget expenditures without increasing the total amount of funding.

According to the order, 2.52 million hryvnias were reallocated from the general fund of the regional budget. The corresponding amount was reduced from the budget line item for subsidies from the local budget to the state budget for the implementation of regional socioeconomic development programs, while the same amount was allocated to the development budget.

Changes were also made to interbudgetary transfers. The document provides for funding of 3.486 million hryvnias for the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region. The funds are allocated as part of a program to assist law enforcement agencies in the region and the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in ensuring road safety, public safety and order, the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, the interests of society and the state, crime prevention, and upholding the rule of law while guarding Ukraine’s state border in 2024–2026.

In addition, Kherson has allocated more than 118 million hryvnias for 2026 to support municipal enterprises and institutions. The largest portion of the funds will go to the municipal enterprise “Kherson Parks,” the maintenance of the landfill, outdoor lighting, and the control of the stray animal population.

The largest amount—82.6 million hryvnias—will go to the“Kherson Parks” municipal enterprise. Specifically, over 9.2 million hryvnias have been allocated for fuel, nearly 1.73 million for consumables, about 243,000 hryvnias for brush cutters, 300 thousand for vehicle spare parts, and another 100 thousand for tool components.
