The Kherson City Military Administration has approved the operating rules for the local automated centralized alert system. It is designed to transmit alerts to city residents regarding air raids, shelling, and other threats.

The relevant order was signed by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

The system is designed to ensure rapid notification of community residents both in peacetime and during martial law. Among other things, it must relay air raid and all-clear signals.

The system includes:

The system is to be managed by the duty officer of the central dispatch service. It may be activated upon order of the head of the Civil Protection Service or a person authorized by him.

A signal from the regional control center regarding an emergency threat or an air raid alert may also serve as grounds for activation. The system may also be activated upon receiving information about an immediate threat to human life and health from the military or security and defense forces.

Upon receiving a signal, the duty officer must immediately activate the system in automatic or manual mode and transmit a text or audio message to residents.

The Civil Protection Department of the Kherson City Council will be responsible for managing and monitoring the system’s operation. It is also required to keep the equipment in constant readiness and organize its maintenance.

The system’s operation and upgrades will be funded from the city budget, and the city’s Civil Protection Department will monitor its readiness.
