Owners of an agricultural company in the Kherson region were caught selling grain to Russia

After the outbreak of full-scale war, the owners of an agricultural enterprise in the Kherson region brought it under Russian law and continued operations under occupation. Later, the enterprise received agricultural equipment worth 175 million rubles from a Russian leasing company.

The Center for Public Investigations uncovered the details of the case.

According to the investigation, the company in question is STOV “Real Agro,” registered in Kakhovka. After the occupation, the actual owners of the company transferred their shares to relatives and trusted individuals, after which a meeting of the company’s members was held in the occupied territory.

In February 2023, the nominal owners submitted documents to the illegal occupation authorities to re-register the company under Russian law. This led to the creation of “Real Agro” LLC, with one of the nominal owners appointed as its director.

In April 2024, the company entered into eight contracts with the Russian state-owned agro-industrial leasing company “Rosagroleasing.” Under these agreements, the company leased grain harvesters, sunflower harvesters, and other agricultural equipment. The total value of the equipment was nearly 175 million rubles.

Investigators believe that the participants in the scheme also collaborated with other Russian companies, and their activities contributed to tax revenue for the Russian Federation’s budget.

In August 2026, the charges against the four suspects were amended. They are now suspected of committing a crime as part of an organized group. The court authorized a special pretrial investigation against them.

According to the YouControl analytical system, the agricultural company “Real Agro” was founded in Kakhovka in 2002. The company’s authorized capital was 440,000 hryvnias, and its main area of operation was the cultivation of grains, legumes, and oilseeds.

Also in August, as reported by Intent,Vasyl Malik, the head of an agricultural enterprise in the Kherson region, was sentenced for collaborating with Russian entities during the occupation. Instead of ceasing operations, he transferred the company’s operations to the Russian legal framework and continued business activities in the occupied territory.
