In addition, he participated in activities aimed at integrating Russian legislation into the temporarily occupied territories. He also gave interviews to pro-Russian media and publicly supported the implementation of Russian legislation in the occupied part of the Kherson region.
For his activities on behalf of the occupiers, the defendant is subject to sanctions imposed by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Also on trial is a resident of the Kherson region who organized a school operating under Russian educational standards in the occupied territory. The defendant helped the Russians re-register the educational institution with Russian tax authorities, transferred the school’s material and technical resources to the occupation administration, and ensured the removal of Ukrainian state symbols from the premises. He also organized the development and approval of curricula and academic calendars in accordance with Russian standards. All Ukrainian educational materials were replaced with Russian ones. Only candidates loyal to the occupying authorities were hired to work at the school.
In addition, a man who held a leadership position in the occupying Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Kherson region in August 2022 will also stand trial in the Kherson region.
