Occupiers struck a high-rise building in Kherson: a family was injured

Over the past day, two people were killed and 20 others were wounded—including two children—as a result of Russian shelling in the Kherson region. A family with two children was among those affected by one of the strikes on Kherson.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

According to him, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces struck Kherson and more than 30 settlements in the region with airstrikes, drones, and artillery.

The occupiers attacked critical, transportation, and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. As a result of the shelling, four high-rise buildings and seven private homes were damaged. An administrative building, a cell tower, a utility building, and a gas pipeline were also damaged.

Separately, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported an attack on a high-rise building in Kherson. On September 5, around 9:00 p.m., a Russian drone struck a residential building.

A family was injured: a 12-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, a 36-year-old woman, and a 39-year-old man. All received the necessary medical care.

The prosecutor’s office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the attack under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war.

People were also evacuated from liberated communities in the Kherson region over the past day.

Recently, Russian attack drones struck a passenger train in Chornobaivka, Kherson Oblast. As a result of the attack, two people were injured, and locomotives were damaged.
