The occupiers accused four Crimean Tatar women of seizing power

<span><span><span><span><span><span>In occupied Crimea, FSB security forces have concluded their investigation into the first “Hizb ut-Tahrir” case, in which women were implicated. In addition to their alleged involvement in the organization’s activities, four Crimean Tatar women are also accused of attempting a “violent seizure of power.” </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Charges have been brought against Esma Nimetulayeva, Fevziye Osmanova, Elviza Aliyeva, and Nasiba Saidova. Since September 5, they have been reviewing the materials of the criminal case. It is known that the testimony of a confidential witness served as the basis for Elviza Aliyeva’s detention.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The women were unlawfully detained on the morning of October 15, 2025, during mass searches in Crimea. Esma Nimetulaeva is the mother of five minor daughters, a resident of Bakhchysarai, and the wife of political prisoner Remzi Nimetulaev, who was arrested in 2023. Elviza Aliyeva is a fourth-year student at Crimean Federal University, originally from the village of Dolynne in the Bakhchysarai district. Nasiba Saidova is the daughter of a well-known imam in Crimea and a kindergarten teacher in Kholmivka. Fevziye Osmanova lives in the village of Orlivka in the Sevastopol district and works in a store.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier in Crimea, a 49-year-old resident of Yalta was sentenced to 18 years in a maximum-security prison. The occupiers accused him of “treason.” Russian security forces believe that the convicted man passed information to the Ukrainian side that could be used against Russian authorities. He was charged with espionage.
