This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, in August 2024, the 40-year--old defendant took chargeof the “Velykoblagovishchenska School of the Hornostaivskyi District,” an educational institution illegally established by the occupiers in the region’s occupied territory as part of the Kherson Regional Department of Education and Science (DBOZ). The man helped the Russians re-register the educational institution with the Russian Federation’s tax authorities, transferred the school’s material and technical resources to the occupation administration, and ensured the removal of Ukrainian state symbols from the premises.

Subsequently, the defendant ensured that the school operated in accordance with the standards of the aggressor state. In particular, corresponding curricula and calendar-thematic plans were developed and approved. All Ukrainian educational materials were replaced with Russian ones. Only candidates loyal to the occupying authorities were hired to work at the school. Documentation was maintained exclusively in the language of the occupiers.

The defendant also participated in propaganda activities aimed at instilling pro-Russian ideological narratives in Ukrainian children.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Kherson who, according to the investigation, passed on the coordinates of Ukrainian military personnel to Russian intelligence services and helped adjust artillery and missile strikes against the Defense Forces.

In addition, the Kherson City Court found Vladimir Kosov, the former head ofthe Henichesk Interdistrict Water Management Department, guilty in absentia of aiding an aggressor state. According to the court, during the occupation, he housed Russian troops and military equipment on the enterprise’s premises, and later headed an institution established by the occupiers and became a deputy in the occupying “Duma.”
