In 2025, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption detected the most frequent signs of violations in declarations among local council members and officials of state and local governments at various levels.

This was reported by the NACP press service.

In particular, signs of violations in the declarations of deputies amounted to 39.7% of all verified declarations, and the declarations of officials - 32%.

As an example, the NACP cited the head of the village council of Voznesenskyi district, Mykolaiv region, and a deputy of the village council of Berezivskyi district, Odesa region, who were found guilty by the court of declaring false information. In the first case, the official was ordered to pay a fine, and in the second case, the court sentenced him to 150 hours of community service. The court also deprived both declarants of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of organizational, administrative and economic functions in local governments for a period of one year.

In addition, members of military medical commissions (MMCs) remained among the violators of financial control requirements. In particular, one official of the MEC in Odesa region was fined by the court for entering false information in the declaration for more than UAH 10.3 million and deprived of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to the performance of state or local government functions for a period of one year.

Since the beginning of 2025, the NACP has conducted 110 such controls, during which it found inaccurate information in officials' declarations worth more than UAH 180 million.

Based on the results of these measures, the National Agency sent 26 substantiated conclusions to law enforcement agencies on the detection of signs of declaring false information (Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for more than UAH 133 million. The courts delivered guilty verdicts in criminal proceedings initiated on the basis of the NACP's findings to ten officials and sentenced them to fines.
