Russian troops hit a main gas pipeline in Odesa region

Enemy drones attacked Odesa region on the night of August 6, with explosions in the Izmail district, where large-scale fires were reported. According to preliminary information, infrastructure was damaged, including an oil pipeline.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper.

On the night of August 6, Russian kamikaze drones attacked Odesa region, and a series of loud explosions were heard in the region, particularly in the Izmail district.

Despite the air defense system, the gas infrastructure was damaged, causing a fire that was extinguished by rescuers at 07:25. According to the official, gas is currently being released from the system, as the fire destroyed production equipment.

Due to the damage to the main gas pipeline, 2,500 customers were left without gas supply. According to the head of Odesa regional gas distribution company Kiper, all relevant services are working at the scene and the consequences are being eliminated. Law enforcement officers are documenting another Russian war crime against civilians.

On the night of August 4, Odesa region was again attacked by attack drones. Rescuers had to extinguish fires in both Odesa and Odesa district. The fire damaged 50 trade pavilions at the radio market, and eight of them were completely destroyed. A large-scale fire was also extinguished in a dormitory that was not functioning. The Oleksandr Salik Municipal Theater was damaged by a drone attack.

Earlier, on the night of July 24, Odesa had already experienced a massive attack by Russian attack drones. Residential buildings were damaged, and large-scale fires and destruction occurred, including in a high-rise building. Privoz and Primorsky Boulevard were damaged.

At least three people were injured and five were rescued from the rubble. The city suffered significant losses of civilian infrastructure.

On the night of July 22, air defense forces in southern Ukraine destroyed 11 enemy Shahed kamikaze drones and other types of drones, all over Odesa region. According to preliminary information, the Russians launched 12 drones.

Despite the successful operation of air defense, the debris and explosions caused serious damage. A 25-story residential building, a supermarket, a gym and an administrative building were damaged. In addition, more than 30 cars were damaged, at least 12 of which burned down completely.
