Acting Director of the Finance Department of Odesa City Council Andriy Zarytskyi has been dismissed from his post.

The relevant order was issued by the acting mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, and published by the press service of the city council.

The reason was a statement written by the official during a staff meeting with the head of the Odesa City Military Administration Serhiy Lysak on November 3. Andriy Zarytskyi has been acting director of the Finance Department of the Odesa City Council since the summer of 2024. At that time, Gennadiy Trukhanov, who was the mayor, began his professional career in 1997. He has experience in municipal services, in particular, he worked for five years at Odesmiskelektrotrans. Since 2004, he has held positions at the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

Currently, Galyna Savchenko, Andriy Zarytskyi's deputy, has been temporarily appointed head of the department.

The previous director of the Department of Finance , Svitlana Bedreha , was dismissed by agreement after she entered into a plea agreement with the investigation and testified in the case where she was a defendant along with other former deputy mayors Mykhailo Kuchuk and Oleh Bryndak. Svitlana Bedreha donated 500 thousand hryvnias to support the Army of Drones project. The ex-official made this contribution shortly before her dismissal.

According to the data, before her dismissal from the city council, the former chief financial officer of Odesa made two contributions: On July 15 - 200 thousand hryvnias, and on July 16 - 300 thousand hryvnias.
