Investigative and operational actions are currently underway to identify those involved in the crime.

On December 6, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, new stands dedicated to the memory of 144 defenders who died in the war were opened in Odesa.

Earlier, Odesa had planned to install video surveillance cameras on the Alley of Heroes in Shevchenko Park. The city was ready to allocate UAH 585,500 for their purchase and installation. However, the auction was canceled. The Heroes' Alley in Shevchenko Park was officially opened on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, August 29.

Meanwhile, the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Izmail City Council has begun searching for a contractor to overhaul part of Victory Square and create an Alley of Glory to honor the memory of the fallen defenders of Izmail. The customer estimated the cost of the work at UAH 12 million 537 thousand. The funding will be divided into two stages: UAH 6.37 million of the total amount will be allocated from the city treasury this year, and the rest - in 2026.

On December 5, on Volunteer Day and the eve of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a new part of the memorial "Wall of Memory" was unveiled in Odesa near the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on Pastera Street.
