The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting dismissed its representatives in Odesa and Poltava regions due to reaching retirement age and retirement. Mechnikov National University of Odesa received a letter of instruction.

The relevant decisions were made at a meeting of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting on October 23, 2025.

The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting dismissed its representatives in Odesa and Poltava regions during a meeting on October 23.

In Odesa region, Oleksandr Salabai, an associate professor of the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting at the Odesa National Academy of Communications, who reached the age of 65, completed his term of office. In Poltava region, Lilia Myronovych was dismissed due to retirement.

At the meeting, the regulator also reviewed violations of media legislation: late submission of mandatory reporting, lack of source data in broadcasts, and distribution of content with persons on the list of prohibited persons. As a result of the inspections, unscheduled on-site inspections were scheduled, and certain media outlets were issued orders and fined.

In particular, I. Mechnikov Odesa National University received orders for violation of the terms of notification of the change of location of a legal entity: the actual change took place on February 19, 2025, and the notification to the regulator was received only on October 7, 2025, which violates the requirement to notify within 5 business days. The orders concern 26 printed publications of the university.

In February, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting officially registered Intent as an online media entity. This is actually a re-registration, as the publication changed its name from Izbirk to Intent in 2022. In addition, Intent became the first Odesa-based media outlet to undergo an independent external audit and receive a Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) certificate, confirming its transparency and adherence to high journalistic standards.
