National Television Council registers two new channels in Odesa region

On September 25, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting registered 12 different media outlets, two of which are in Odesa region.

This was reported by Detector Media.

In particular, it is Meditation channel, which covers lifestyle, recreation, health, and travel. The channel was registered by the Virtual TV and Radio Communications Limited Liability Company.

There is also an online media outlet on Youtube called "Information Service of Ukraine "Info Sich", which was created by the NGO "Black Sea Sich" from the village of Oleksandrivka, Odesa region.

The National Council is a constitutional, permanent collegial body whose purpose is to oversee compliance with the laws of Ukraine in the field of broadcasting, as well as to exercise regulatory powers provided for by these laws.

At its last meeting, the National Council registered Bilyaevka.City, a portal of the Bilyaevka.Info news agency based in Bilyaevka, Odesa region. It also selected First City Channel from Odesa as the winner of the tender for the Kyiv multiplex. It outperformed its competitors by offering round-the-clock broadcasting with urban content.

On February 27, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting registered the Odesa Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Committee of Voters of Ukraine" as a print media entity for the newspaper "Intent".

Prior to that, the National Council officially registered the online edition of Intent, as well as the Center for Public Investigations, a coalition of investigators, journalists and activists founded in 2017 by IzbirCom (Intent) and the Odesa regional organization of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, together with the Institute of Political Information and the Anti-Corruption Office.
