Mykolaiv has updated the nomenclature and volume of its material reserve for rapid response to emergencies, including in times of war. The changes provide the city with emergency rescue equipment, construction materials, personal protective equipment and other critical resources.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council.

Changes were made to the procedure for creating and using the city's material reserve. This decision is aimed at improving the effectiveness of emergency response, in particular to the challenges associated with the military aggression of the Russian Federation.

The nomenclature and volumes of material reserves to be used for emergency response have been updated. The key aspects include:

The material reserve will allow the city to respond to emergencies faster and more efficiently. It will also ensure the emergency deployment of field kitchens, warming centers and temporary accommodation facilities, eliminate the consequences of possible destruction, and restore critical infrastructure.

In addition, the reserve will improve safety and provide the necessary conditions for rescuers and utilities. The decision will be considered at the next meeting of the executive committee.

In January, the Mykolaiv Executive Committee amended the decision on the city's material reserve for rapid response to emergencies, including those caused by Russia's military aggression. The updated list includes a wide range of resources, from field kitchens and heat guns to fuel and lubricants and construction materials.

The Department of Housing and Communal Services also reported on the restoration of damaged residential buildings and municipal infrastructure, for which more than UAH 126 million was spent. In total, about 1,300 residential buildings in Mykolaiv were damaged due to Russian aggression.

In addition, in 2024, estimated projects were implemented to restore housing, infrastructure, roads, and bridges at the expense of state and local budgets, as well as with the support of international partners. In total, UAH 1.58 billion was allocated from the state, regional and local budgets to rebuild the affected facilities.
