A water producer's scheme involving the sale of body armor was uncovered in Mykolaiv

The owner of a Mykolaiv-based company is suspected of arranging fictitious employment for three men subject to military service. According to investigators, they were actually working at other companies.

The Center for Public Investigations has uncovered the details of the case. 

According to the investigation, the company in question is “Chysta Voda” LLC, which manufactures non-alcoholic beverages and mineral water, and whose business activities also include water collection, treatment, and supply, freight transportation, and trade.

The company held the status of being critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihood of the population. In March 2026, this status was reconfirmed, which allowed the company to secure exemptions for half of its employees subject to military conscription.

According to investigators, among the employees listed on the roster were three men who did not actually work at this company. One of them was listed as the deputy director, although he had been working as an engineer at another company for a long time.

The second was hired as a bottling line operator, even though he held the status of an entrepreneur and was residing in Kyiv. The third worked as a part-time commercial director while simultaneously being employed at another company.

In total, 28 men were listed in the company’s military conscription registry, 18 of whom were exempt from service. Three of the individuals involved had exemptions valid until March 4, 2027.

As reported by Intent, “Chysta Voda” LLC was registered in 2020 in Mykolaiv and is engaged in the production of non-alcoholic beverages, mineral water, and other bottled waters. The company’s founder is Svitlana Molchanova, and its director is Heorhiy Molchanov.
