The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and logistical facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukrainian forces struck a road bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the village of Stavy in the Kherson region. A road bridge near Voinka, which the occupiers used to move troops and equipment between the temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine, was also struck.

In addition, the Defense Forces struck a Russian military drone control center near Oleshky.

The General Staff noted that the strikes targeted facilities that support the enemy’s military logistics and are used to transport personnel, equipment, and weapons.

In total, on June 16 and during the night of June 17, Ukrainian defenders also attacked a number of other military targets of the Russian army, including a command and observation post and UAV command posts in various directions.

The General Staff emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to systematically degrade the Russian army’s combat capabilities and disrupt the logistical support of the occupying forces.

Recently, in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, traffic was blockedon the bridge connecting Henichesk with the Arabat Spit.

Ukrainian drones have also significantlydisrupted the logistics of Russian troops inthe south. Over the course of two weeks of strikes, freight traffic along the main land route to the temporarily occupied Crimea has decreased by 71%, and the Russian command has been forced to restrict the transport of military cargo.

For their part, the occupying authorities in Crimea continue to transform the peninsula into a major military base while simultaneously preparing forpossible hostilities. To this end, the Russians are strengthening their defensive lines, increasing their military presence, and expanding their logistics infrastructure.
