Ukrainian drones have significantly complicated the logistics of Russian troops in the south. During the two weeks of strikes, truck traffic along the main land route to the temporarily occupied Crimea decreased by 71%, and the Russian command was forced to limit the transportation of military supplies.

This was reported by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdi (Magyar).

According to him, after two weeks of intensive work by Ukrainian drones, the Russian command of the Vostok military grouping was forced to ban the transportation of military cargo along the Mariupol-Berdiansk-Melitopol-Simferopol highway on June 7.

This is a key land route that connects the occupied Crimea with the occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. It is through this road that the Russian army delivers ammunition, fuel, military equipment, spare parts and other resources to its units on the southern front.

According to the Ukrainian military, after the establishment of fire control over the route, the average daily flow of freight traffic decreased from about 3,800 to 1,100 vehicles.

The Russian military order cited by the Ukrainian side states that Ukrainian forces are systematically attacking vehicles on the R-280 Novorossiya and A-291 Tavrida highways. As a result, the command ordered the transportation to be transferred to backup routes and bypass roads.

At the same time, the Unmanned Systems Forces emphasize that it is too early to talk about a complete blockage of logistics.

"The collapse of traffic is not a blockade. But the current diet of the first land corridor, as the artery of life for the occupation group, is sensitive and effective," explained Brovdi.

According to him, even a partial restriction of traffic forces the Russian army to use longer routes, consume more fuel and increase the time of cargo delivery.

Against the backdrop of increasing losses, the Russian military has already begun to change its tactics. Due to the risk of new attacks, they are disguising army trucks as civilian vehicles and sometimes using civilian cars to transport fuel.

The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces also said that the Ukrainian military continues to control the routes of the occupation forces.

"All the paths are yours, worms, we have them in the palm of our hand. Try to go around the back roads, as ordered," Brovdi addressed the Russian military.

According to the Ukrainian command, logistical problems are already creating additional pressure on the Russian group that supplies the occupation forces in southern Ukraine and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
