Ukrainian Armed Forces strike at military units in Simferopol and Sevastopol

On the night of June 4, a series of powerful explosions occurred in occupied Crimea. According to local telegram channels and eyewitnesses, drone attacks targeted a number of military facilities, and Russian air defense was actively operating in various parts of the peninsula.

According to Krym.Realii, the first explosions and sounds of air defense were heard around 22:32 almost simultaneously in Simferopol and Sevastopol. In particular, explosions were reported in the area of the Tavriya TPP, Kacha airfield and Cape Fiolent.

Later, residents of Simferopol reported shooting and new explosions in the area of the village of GRES, where oil depots are located. There was also information about a possible hit on a Russian military unit in the city center, after which ambulances arrived at the scene.

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, said that there were reports of hits on military facilities in Simferopol, in particular in the areas where military units were located near the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University and the former Zavodske airport.

According to the sources, drones also attacked Russian military airfields Gvardeyskoye, Belbek, Kacha, and Sak. Repeated series of explosions were heard there during the night.

Explosions were also reported near Cape Fiolent and Victory Park in Sevastopol. After midnight, there was information about a possible hit on a military fuel base in Simferopol.

Due to the drone attack, traffic on the Kerch Bridge was temporarily blocked. In Kerch, locals also heard a series of powerful explosions. Another strong explosion was recorded in the morning in Feodosia.

The occupying head of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that the Russian military repelled a drone attack. According to him, more than 20 UAVs were shot down in the Sevastopol area. He also reported a fire on the roof of a private house caused by falling drone debris and said there were no casualties.

At the time of publication, the Ukrainian military did not officially comment on the attack. There is currently no independent confirmation of the reports of damage to military facilities.
