In the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, the bridge connecting Henichesk with Arabatska Strelka has been blocked.

This was reported by the governor of the occupied Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.

According to him, early in the morning, the Ukrainian military allegedly tried to launch a missile attack on one of the bridges leading from Genichesk to Arabat Spit. After that, traffic across the crossing was temporarily stopped.

Saldo said that specialized services are working at the site to establish the circumstances of the incident and assess the possible consequences. No information on the damage to the bridge or the victims has been released.

The incident took place against the backdrop of recent attacks on another important transportation artery between the occupied part of Kherson region and Crimea, the Chongar Bridge. According to the occupation authorities, it was attacked on June 7, after which traffic was resumed in reverse.

However, on June 9, the Chongar Bridge was again attacked by drones. After the second strike, traffic across the crossing was once again suspended.

After that, the occupation administration recommended that drivers use alternative routes through Armyansk and Perekop.

As Intent recently wrote, Ukrainian drones have significantly complicated the logistics of Russian troops in the south. During the two weeks of strikes, truck traffic on the main land route to the temporarily occupied Crimea decreased by 71%, and the Russian command was forced to limit the transportation of military cargo.

Meanwhile, in the occupied Sevastopol, the Russian occupation authorities have imposed new restrictions on the sale of fuel to the public. From now on, local residents will be able to purchase no more than 20 liters of fuel per car, and will be able to re-apply for a refueling permit only after seven days.

In addition, in the annexed Crimea, due to problems with fuel supply and transportation logistics, shortages of certain food products in stores have been reported.
