The Kherson City Court found a paramedic with the medical service of the Kherson Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support guilty of aiding and abetting the receipt of an unlawful benefit in connection with a military medical examination.

This is stated in the verdict of the Kherson City Court.

As established by the court, in 2025, the woman acted as an accomplice to the head of an ad hoc military medical commission at one of Kherson’s hospitals. According to the case file, she offered conscripts assistance in passing the medical examination, negotiated the amounts of the illegal benefits, and received money, which was subsequently distributed among the participants in the scheme.

According to the verdict, between July and September 2025, the defendant received a total of 1,700 U.S. dollars from one of the conscripts for issuing certificates of temporary unfitness for military service, as well as for subsequently declaring him fit for service. In addition, she separately demanded $400 for a similar decision regarding another individual.

In court, the defendant fully admitted her guilt, expressed remorse, and confirmed the facts established during the pretrial investigation. The court took into account that she had no prior criminal record, has a minor child, is currently serving in the military, has received positive evaluations at her place of service, and voluntarily donated 50,000 UAH to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The court sentenced her to a fine of 71,400 UAH and barred her from holding positions on military medical commissions for a period of three years. In addition, the court ordered the special confiscation of 350 U.S. dollars, ordered the recovery of the costs of expert examinations, and ruled that once the verdict becomes final, the preventive measure in the form of bail will be lifted.

Earlier, the Kherson City Court found an officer from one of the territorial recruitment and social support centers guilty of negligence in the performance of military duties under martial law.

Additionally, in Odesa,an officer froma branch of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center was exposed for promising, in exchange for thousands of dollars, to “resolve issues” related to mobilization through the “Oberig” electronic system. He demanded money to have individuals removed from the wanted list and to arrange deferments, exploiting his official position.
