The Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa allowed the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support, Yevhen Borysov, to leave the city and move around the entire region.

According to the Suspilne media outlet, the lawyers argued that Yevhen Borysov needs to meet regularly with his defense lawyers, and some of them live outside the city.

During the hearing, lawyer Oleksandr Makovetskyi also emphasized that his client undergoes a number of medical procedures, including tomography, for which the electronic bracelet creates obstacles. The court has not yet separately considered the issue of temporary removal or disconnection of the electronic control device during medical interventions. It is planned to be considered at the next hearing.

Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa is considering two cases against former military commissar Borysov: one on forced abandonment of the place of service and one on obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations.

In early November, former military commissar Yevhen Borysov was released on bail in the case of his unauthorized abandonment of his unit. In total, over 100 million has already been paid for the defendant in various criminal proceedings.

At the end of October, the court imposed a bail of UAH 20 million on the former military commissar. His lawyers immediately announced that they would appeal the decision. The process of determining the measure of restraint lasted almost a month, from October 3 to October 30. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 19.

During the hearing on October 30, the court heard a witness who was held together with Borisov in the Lukianivske pre-trial detention center. According to him, Borysov did not talk about his intentions to leave Ukraine, take his property abroad or participate in illegal human trafficking. The witness also emphasized that the former military man did not discuss topics related to smuggling.

On October 20, Borysov appeared in court and stated that he had been forcibly removed from the hospital. SBI Director Oleksii Sukhachov responded that the bureau's employees acted in accordance with a court order to bring him in and did not exceed their authority.

Yevhen Borysov is the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, who was at the center of several high-profile criminal cases. Among them are illegal enrichment, military service evasion and unauthorized leaving of the unit. According to the investigation, he owns real estate abroad, in particular in Spain, and could have used his official position for his own enrichment.
