The SBI completed the investigation against the former head of the Odesa regional TCC. The case was referred to the court, and the assets of the official and his family were transferred to the ARMA.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

SBI employees have completed the investigation of another criminal proceeding against the former head of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV. He is accused of forging documents to obtain the status of a person wounded while defending the homeland.

According to the investigation, the official registered a non-combat injury as one allegedly related to the defense of Ukraine, although he received it outside of his official duties. On the basis of forged documents and a false conclusion of the Medical Expert Commission, he was unjustifiably awarded an additional remuneration of UAH 250 thousand. In addition, he received five months of medical leave, which he used to vacation abroad and buy real estate in the EU.

The former official is charged under Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces during a special period), Part 3 of Art. 366 (forgery in office) and Part 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (use of a forged document). These articles provide for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. After the defense gets acquainted with the case, the case file will be submitted to court.

Earlier, the SBI sent several indictments to the court against the former military commissar: for illegal acquisition of assets worth UAH 142.9 million, evasion of military service, failure to report for service under martial law, use of forged documents and money laundering.

According to the materials of the latest proceedings, the court transferred to the management of ARMA an 857-square-meter house worth EUR 4 million and a 223.9-square-meter office for EUR 510 thousand in Marbella, Spain, owned by the mother and wife of the former military commissar.

The ARMA also received cars Mercedes-Benz EQV (UAH 2.9 million), Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG (UAH 8.4 million) and Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (UAH 3 million), which belonged to the official's family members.

In June, Kyiv's Pecherskyi Court reduced the bail for Yevhen Borysov, the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support. Instead of the previously set 80 million hryvnias, he now has to pay 20 million to be released from the pre-trial detention center. The investigation insisted on maintaining the original amount, but the court only partially granted the request.
