This was reported by the Suspilne media outlet with reference to the former military commissar's lawyer, Andriy Voyna.

The hearing to choose a preventive measure lasted almost a month: from October 3. The next hearing in this case will be held on November 19. During the hearing on October 30 to choose a preventive measure for Yevhen Borysov, the court interrogated a witness who was in Lukianivske SIZO with Yevhen Borysov. The witness, Mykola Pistrylo, said that he had not heard from Borisov about his intentions to leave Ukraine or hide his property abroad. Also, according to him, Borisov did not discuss with him participation in human trafficking or smuggling.

October 21 Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksiy Sukhachov emphasizes that his subordinates acted within their authority and complied with the court order to bring him in.

On October 20, the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Yevhen Borysov, who is accused of leaving the unit without permission, came to the hearing and said that he had been forcibly removed from the hospital. The defendant's lawyers stated that the State Bureau of Investigation had exceeded their authority.

On October 17, Yevhen Borysov did not appear at the next court hearing, and the judges decided that he should be brought to the hearing by force. At the hearing on October 16, it became known that Borysov was in a hospital in Kyiv, where he had gone on October 15 to attend a hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court. The prosecutor did not know this information and he did not have any operational information about where Borisov was. According to the information they received from the National Police, Borisov was in Kyiv. The prosecutors sent a request to the medical institution indicated by the defense lawyers to confirm the information about the treatment of the accused.
