Nearly 5 million was spent on stabilizing a landslide-prone slope in Odesa

In Odesa, emergency work to permanently reinforce a landslide-prone slope on Rulyovyi Lane has been completed. The cost of the work totaled 5,<span><span><span><span><span><span> 471,898 hryvnias.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

This was reported by the Odesa City Council. 

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The emergency work was carried out on a section that suffered significant landslides following a massive downpour on September 30, 2025.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Due to the terrain and the inability of large-scale heavy equipment to access the site, most of the work had to be done manually.

The stabilization of this section is part of a large-scale program to protect the slopes of Rybacha Balka. The procurement for the completed work was announced on June 15, 2026, and has now been finalized. 

At the same time, experts are preparing documentation to upgrade the drainage system near Zolotyi Bereg and Dacha Kovalevskogo Street, which will completely resolve the issue of flooding throughout the ravine. Construction is scheduled to begin next year, provided the city secures the necessary funding.

Earlier,<span><span><span><span><span><span> Kherson commissioned a new boiler house for 152 million without a bidding process. </span></span></span></span></span></span>The Kyiv-based consortium“Teplomodul Group” was selected<span><span><span><span><span><span> as the winner </span></span></span></span></span></span>. The corresponding contract was signed on August 26, 2026. The client was the Capital Construction Department of the Kherson City Council, and the general contractor was “Teplomodul Group.” The consortium’s director is Andriy Volodin.

The boiler plantwill have an estimated capacity of 10 MW and will use natural gas. The documentation states that it is intended for emergency heat supply to residential and public buildings. The equipment must be transportable and allow for rapid installation and connection to heating networks.
