Acting Mayor of Odesa assigns responsibilities

The interim mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, has signed an order to redistribute responsibilities among the former deputies of Gennadiy Trukhanov.

The corresponding order was published by the press service of the Odesa municipality.

In particular, according to this order, Igor Koval himself is now responsible for organizing the implementation of decisions of the Odesa City Council; notifying deputies and informing the city's territorial community of information about the time and place of the council session, issues to be submitted to the council; organizing the preparation of sessions of the Odesa City Council, and processing issues submitted for its consideration. In other words, what the mayor used to do.

Earlier, advisors to former mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov were dismissed in Odesa. Their resignation came after the official was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship.

On October 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy revoked the citizenship of Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, and on October 20, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau served a notice of suspicion to Hryhoriy Didenko, the head of the Odesa Regional Council, and his wife, an MP.
