Zelensky reports on successful SBU operation in occupied Crimea

Ukrainian special forces conducted a successful operation in the occupied Crimea, during which they hit the headquarters of Russian FSB officers and destroyed the Pantsyr-S1 anti-aircraft missile and weapon system.

The results of the operation were announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, the strike was carried out by soldiers of the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine.

As a result of the operation, Russian troops lost about a hundred occupants killed and wounded.

"Russians must feel that they have to end this war of theirs. Ukraine's medium- and long-term sanctions will continue to work," Zelensky emphasized.

The strike was one of the most effective operations of the Ukrainian special services on the temporarily occupied peninsula in recent times.

Recently, on the night of May 16 and 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned aerial systems conducted a series of strikes on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea and three other regions of Ukraine. One of the key targets was the strategic secure communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the village of Myrnyi.

Earlier, on the night of May 13, a series of explosions occurred in the annexed Crimea, and local residents reported flying drones over different parts of the peninsula. Due to the nighttime events, the Kerch Bridge was temporarily closed to traffic.

As a reminder, on the night of May 8, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to local telegram channels and monitoring groups, a Russian military unit in Simferopol and a power substation in Krasnoperekopsk were hit by the Ukrainian armed forces, after which large-scale fires broke out.
