Cryptocurrency, an SUV, and an apartment in Bulgaria: Judges Appointed in the Odesa Region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed four judges to the Odesa Court of Appeals and the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeals.

Three of the appointed judges will serve on the Odesa Court of Appeals:Oleksandr Maslenikov,Dmytro Kyian, andPavlo Prokhorov.Ella Kataeva will serve on the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeals.

The judges’ declarations contain some interesting details:

Oleksandr Maslenikov declared two apartments: a 19-square-meter service apartment in his use and his wife’s 54-square-meter apartment. The judge declared $65,000 in cash.

Dmytro Kyian has use of a 74-square-meter apartment in Odesa. He also declared a 33.33% share in a 59.6-square-meter apartment in Mariupol, which belongs to his wife, Olena. Their son, Danylo, uses an apartment in Bulgaria.

Pavlo Prokhorov’s wife also holds crypto assets, including Ethereum—11.77 ETH worth 1,482,800 hryvnias—and four other smaller holdings (ETC, SHIB, ETHW, USDT).

Ella Kataeva owns an apartment, a parking space, and a non-residential premises in Odesa. She drives a 2004 Mercedes-Benz S 500. She is the author of a musical composition without lyrics. The judge’s salary last year amounted to 1,725,000 hryvnias.
