"Magyar's Birds" attacked Russian military facilities in Crimea

On the night of May 16 and 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) conducted a series of strikes on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea and three other regions of Ukraine. One of the key targets was the strategic secure communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the village of Myrnyi.

This was reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, over the course of two nights, Ukrainian drones carried out 186 fire strikes on 46 military targets and objects in the rear of Russian troops and in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Among the targets in Crimea was the strategic secure communications hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Myrne. Such facilities are used to coordinate the actions of Russian troops and control the fleet's forces.

In addition, Ukrainian drones attacked a number of other military facilities of the Russian army. In particular, the following were damaged:

The SBU noted that the operation was conducted under the coordination of the newly created Center for Deep Impact. Various units were involved in the attacks, including the 414th separate brigade "Birds of Magyars", "NEMESIS" and "Raid" units.

On the night of May 13, a series of explosions occurred in the annexed Crimea, and local residents reported flying drones over different parts of the peninsula. Due to the nighttime events, the Kerch Bridge was temporarily closed to traffic.

As a reminder, on the night of May 8, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to local telegram channels and monitoring groups, a Russian military unit in Simferopol and a power substation in Krasnoperekopsk were hit by the Ukrainian armed forces, after which large-scale fires broke out.
