Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed a new long-distance train Odesa-Rakhiv, which will start running from Odesa on February 3 and from Rakhiv on February 4.

This was reported by the company's press service.

The train will run daily. It will depart from Odesa at 18:38 and arrive in Rakhiv at 13:20. Departure from Rakhiv is scheduled for 14:21 and arrival in Odesa at 8:38. The train route will run through: Podilsk, Vapnyarka, Zhmerynka, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche, Tatariv-Bukovel, Vorokhta, Yasinia, Kvasy. The train will run in luxury, compartment, and second-class cars with women's and children's compartments. The Odesa-Rakhiv train participates in the 3000 Kilometers of Ukraine program.

In December, the Odesa-Chisinau train was cleared at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi railway station, and for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, it went to the Moldovan capital. "Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the demand for flights was very high: 60% of the tickets were sold in the first three hours after the opening of the sale. The occupancy rate was 61% from Odesa and 93% from Kyiv. Ticket sales from Odesa were opened on a daily basis.

The assignment of an additional group of railcars to Chisinau from Odesa and Kyiv was a response to the complications of crossing the Moldovan border by other means of transport as a result of the Russian attack on the bridges over the Dniester and the Dniester Estuary in Odesa region.

On the evening of December 18, during an attack in Odesa region, an enemy attack drone hit a bridge connecting settlements in the area of the Dniester Estuary and also hit a bridge over the Dniester River near the village of Mayaki. There, it hit a civilian car that was crossing the bridge. The car was occupied by a woman with three children. The mother was seriously injured and died in an ambulance. Her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and acute stress reaction.
