Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and a delegation from the municipality went on a business trip to Venice to negotiate with the Italian side on the extension of the Odesa-Venice Cooperation Agreement.

This is evidenced by two orders of the mayor, one signed on August 29 and the other on September 3, which amended the first order. However, the press service published both documents on September 8.

The first order stipulated that the delegation would include Ivan Liptuga, director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odesa City Council, while the second order excluded him from the group.

They also went to Venice:

They will stay in Venice until September 9. At the same time, the orders state that Gennadiy Trukhanov and Mykola Pokrovsky did not use city budget funds for their business trip, while Ruslana Banchukovska went to Venice at the expense of the City Target Program for the Development of International Cooperation, Tourism and Marketing of Odesa for 2024-2028, approved by the decision of the Odesa City Council in June 2024.

It should be noted that on September 2, it became known that Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, researcher at the Odesa Literary Museum Leonid Liptuga, who was also the father of Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, had passed away. .
