There are Odessans as well: an art exhibition on three floors has started in Lviv

The exhibition "OASA?", which presents the works of 39 Ukrainian artists, including Odesa artists, occupies three floors of the Lviv Palace of Arts.

According to the organizers, the exhibition will be open to all visitors from August 1 to 26.

"OASA?" - is the first event organized by the Palace of Arts as part of the reboot, which covers not only physical changes but also conceptual transformations of our space," the organizers emphasized.

Odesa is represented at the exhibition by the works of Stas Zhalobniuk and Mykola Lukin. Stanislav Zhalobniuk was born in Odesa in 1976. From 1996 to 2001, he studied at the painting department of the Odesa State Art and Theater School named after M.B. Grekov. Since 2006 he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He lives and works in Odesa.

Positions himself as a representative of the Odesa school of painting. Works in the areas of abstractionism, futurism, suprematism, expressionism and other styles of contemporary art. He is also engaged in graphics and installation. The artist actively uses elements of collage and author's techniques in his painting. The artist's works can be found in the Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art (Kyiv), Odesa Art Museum, Odesa Museum of Contemporary Art, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

Mykola Lukin was born in 1988 in Odesa. He also graduated from the Odesa Art School named after M. B. Grekov, painting department, and the Faculty of Art and Graphic Arts of the K. D. Ushynsky National Pedagogical University. He has been participating in exhibitions since the beginning of 2000. He works mainly in the field of painting and graphics, sometimes he turns to objects and installations. The focus of attention is the sphere of intimate existential experiences that are embodied in figurative compositions. Lecturer at the Odesa Art College named after M. B. Grekov. Lives and works in Odesa.
