The number of agricultural enterprises that received loans under government programs increased by fifty

The number of agricultural enterprises in Odesa region that took advantage of the opportunity to receive loans under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" increased by 50 in July.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The total amount of loans reached 2.9 billion hryvnias, the same amount as 455 agricultural enterprises from Kyiv region. Kirovohrad region is in first place by the number of companies - 495 companies, however, the amount of loans in Kirovohrad region reached UAH 2.5 billion.

Since the beginning of the year, 4,959 agricultural enterprises have attracted more than UAH 31.8 billion under this state program, and from January 1, 2025, loans under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program will be provided to agricultural producers (prolonged) provided that they have registered with the State Agency for Agrarian Policy.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 10,632 agricultural enterprises have attracted more than UAH 72.5 billion in loans under various financing programs.

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program during 2024-2025 is made possible by the support of the World Bank under the Emergency Project for Inclusive Support for the Recovery of Agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE). The program simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry, Ukrainian farmers have so far plowed 3 million 236 thousand hectares and harvested 10 million 347.2 thousand tons of early grains and legumes. 29% of the area planted with grains and legumes has been threshed. According to the Odesa Regional State Administration, farmers harvested 3 million 89.1 thousand tons of early grains and legumes from 1 million 70.4 thousand hectares.
