The land under the former Golden Duke movie theater was valued at 13 million

The land under the former Golden Duke cinema in Odesa was valued at UAH 12 million 811 thousand, or UAH 3,422 per square meter.

This became known during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Spatial Development, Land Management and Regulation of Land Relations of the Odesa City Council on August 29.

At the previous session, the city council authorized the valuation of the land plot. It is 37.4 hectares of land at 11 Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue for the construction and maintenance of administrative buildings, office buildings of companies engaged in business activities related to profit.

Intent continues to monitor the process of preparing Odesa City Council for the next plenary session. One of the important stages of preparation is the meeting of the permanent deputy commissions, where the deputies discuss draft decisions and recommend or not recommend them for voting in the session hall. A total of 12 commissions have been formed, but the Commission on Culture, Tourism and International Relations and the Commission on Rules of Procedure, Deputy Ethics and Prevention of Corruption cannot make decisions because they do not have enough MPs (2 and 1, respectively).

Earlier, the head of the regional department of the State Architectural and Construction Control , Oleksandr Avdeev, said that the reconstruction of the former Zolotyi Dyuk cinema had already begun.

The building owners have been leasing the land since 2006 and owning the buildings since 2012. After the reconstruction, a shopping center will be opened here.

According to the YouControl service, the Golden Duke Cultural Center Limited Liability Company was registered in Odesa in 2002. The owners are currently Liudmyla Shkurenko, Iryna Furnyka, and Vitalii Furnyka. Until the summer of 2021, one of the founders was Oleh Filimonov, a member of the Odesa City Council.
