Two civilian vessels were damaged by a Russian ballistic missile in the port of Odesa on March 1, and two port workers were injured.

This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine,

According to him, 29 vessels have already been damaged by Russian shelling. As for the victims of March 1, it was the Super Sarkas, which flies the flag of Sierra Leone. It was transporting more than 21 thousand tons of corn and soybeans for export and the Panamanian-flagged container ship MSC Levante F, owned by a leading European company.

However, the minister noted that despite the shelling, the Ukrainian maritime food corridor continues to function. Since its opening, 106 million tons of cargo have been handled, including almost 70 million tons of grain. This is about 4,000 ships that have delivered products to the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe.

On February 28, the training base of the Chornomorets football club in Sauvignon was severely damaged by another Russian air attack.

On the night of February 24, 2025, Russian troops again struck at the civilian infrastructure of the Odesa district using attack drones.
