Russian Air Attack Damages Kindergarten in Odesa Oblast, Injures 2

A kindergarten in the village of Nova Dofinivka in the Fontanska community of Odesa Oblast was severely damaged as a result of a Russian air attack on the night of March 17.

This was reported to Intent by Dmytro Kovbasyuk, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council.

According to him, only in December was the shelter in this kindergarten completed and children were able to attend it, but now they will have to transfer the children to other preschools.

According to Dmytro Kovbasyuk, there are currently two kindergartens in the community in Fontanka and Kryzhanivka. The construction of shelters in two more kindergartens is also nearing completion.

The drones that Russians used to attack Odesa region on the night of March 17 also left 500 residents of Odesa district without electricity. The attack also damaged a private house, a shop, and a car, and injured one person. He was provided with the necessary medical care.

Previously, the city of Chornomorsk was cut off from power due to Russian drones hitting power supply facilities on the night of March 15, and a 53-year-old man was also injured.

In Odesa, the same attack partially destroyed a private residential building and damaged a car. In the suburbs of Odesa, the building of a private enterprise sustained damage to the roof, windows and doors. A 61-year-old woman was also injured in Odesa. She sustained injuries to her face as a result of the blast wave. She was hospitalized.

On the night of March 13, the Russian occupation forces also attacked the Odesa region once again with kamikaze drones from the Black Sea. As a result of an enemy strike, a private garage caught fire in Odesa district. Also, in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, dry grass and the building of a former medical facility caught fire due to the fall of enemy drone fragments.

A ballistic missile fired by the Russians at Odesa on the evening of March 11 damaged the Barbados-flagged MJ Pina and killed four Syrian citizens. The youngest victim was 18, the oldest was 24. Two more people were injured - a Ukrainian and a Syrian. They are being provided with the necessary assistance. At the time of the attack, the vessel was loading wheat for export to Algeria. Another vessel, berths and grain storage facilities were also damaged.
