Odesa Struck by Russian Drones: Critical Infrastructure Damaged, 1 Fatality

On the evening of March 4, the Russian occupiers once again terrorized Odesa and the region at night and launched a large number of drones and missiles at the region.

According to Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov, the strikes damaged the city's critical infrastructure: part of Odesa was left without electricity, water and heat. Relevant services are currently working to restore supplies.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, the debris of the downed drones damaged private houses in the suburbs of Odesa, causing fires. Rescuers are quickly eliminating the fire. Information about the victims is currently being clarified.

A 77-year-old resident of the village of Limanka was also killed in a drone attack. The man was fatally wounded by shrapnel.

In addition, during the air raid, the enemy struck the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, firing a ballistic missile. It hit an empty sanatorium, almost completely destroying the building. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The air alert in Odesa region lasted from 20:43 to 23:02. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of Shahed attack drones. Drones were spotted in the area of the Black Sea, Chornomorsk and Limanka.

On March 3, Odesa was subjected to a large-scale attack by Russian drones. Numerous explosions were heard in the city, and drones circled over residential and industrial areas of the city and suburbs.

Earlier, two civilian vessels were damaged by a Russian ballistic missile in the port of Odesa on March 1, and two port workers were wounded.

The day before, the training base of the Chornomorets football club in Sauvignon was heavily damaged by another Russian air attack on February 28.
