Odesa Regional Council Instructed to Prepare for Session in September

The head of the Odesa Regional Council, Hryhoriy Didenko, has ordered preparations for the session of the regional council scheduled for September 12.

The last date for receiving draft resolutions of the regional council for consideration at the plenary meeting of the regional council session is August 12. Proposals of the regional council staff to the schedule of meetings of the standing committees of the regional council will be accepted until August 18. Consideration of draft decisions received by the regional council at meetings of the standing committees of the regional council is scheduled from August 20 to September 4.

The draft decisions to be considered at the plenary meeting of the regional council session are scheduled to be posted on the regional council website by August 29.

On Friday, June 6, deputies of the Odesa Regional Council held a regular plenary meeting of the session. According to the order of the Regional Council Chairman Hryhoriy Didenko, the twenty-seventh session of the eighth convocation began at 10 am in the session hall of the Regional Council.

The agenda included 23 issues related to the activities of the regional council and its bodies, budget and finance, programs, concepts and urban planning, and jointly owned objects of territorial communities of villages, towns and cities of the region. In addition, the deputies will have to consider land issues and issues within the competence of the regional council. They will also be asked to support deputy appeals.

The previous session was held on February 28. The Odesa Regional Council supported an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada to preserve the National University ofOdesa Maritime Academy, and a scandal erupted during the consideration of the draft decision"Report on the Activities of the Head of the Odesa Regional Council for 2024."
