The decision was made at a meeting of the budget committee of the Odesa City Council.
The Standing Committee on Planning, Budget and Finance of the Odesa City Council discussed the redistribution of city budget funds. The chairman of the commission noted that part of the money would be spent on salaries and energy, as well as on financing district administrations and utilities.
In particular, Odesmisvіtlo will withdraw UAH 1.8 million from the development budget and spend it on salaries, while the funds of the Service Center will be used to eliminate the consequences of the war.
The Commission also considered the redistribution of over UAH 32 million between different departments. Thus, the Department of Municipal Security will receive UAH 2.8 million, the Department of Land Resources - UAH 3.1 million, the Department of Ecology - 950 thousand, the Executive Committee - 609 thousand, the Department of State Architectural and Construction Control - UAH 2.8 million, the Department of Transport - UAH 2.6 million, the Department of Economic Development - UAH 4.4 million, and the Department of Informatization and Digital Solutions - UAH 5.5 million.
A total of UAH 32 million 844 thousand is to be redistributed.
At the same time, Odesa has increased funding for the city's Health program for 2024-2026. This will allow the city to support hospitals, orphanages and develop rehabilitation programs for children. The changes include clarification of the program's activities, funding, and updating of key documents, such as the program passport, resource support, and areas of activity.
According to the commission members, a significant part of the innovations is aimed at supporting baby homes.
In addition, in July, members of the Odesa City Council and the Standing Committee on Housing and Communal Services supported the decision to provide additional funding of UAH 50 million for the city's Unbreakable Odesa program.
The program aims to restore residential buildings damaged by shelling and enemy attacks. It combines all measures related to the elimination of the consequences of Russian attacks and includes activities implemented under the housing and communal services development programs for 2022-2026.
