Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of a conflict between two women that occurred in the office of an Odesa regional organization.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast, two criminal proceedings have been opened over the incident.

It has been preliminarily established that a 56-year-old employee of the organization's office in the Peresypskyi district and a 72-year-old visitor had a verbal conflict that escalated into a fight.

Police Department No. 3 of Odesa District Police Department No. 1 received statements from both women. Investigators opened two proceedings over the incident on the grounds of Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which qualifies as intentional light bodily harm.

Earlier, Olena Buynevych, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council, stated that an engineer-technician at school No. 49 from Odesa, who is also the mother of the fallen defender of Ukraine, suffered as a result of a conflict with an employee of one of the city's charitable organizations.

Olena Buynevych also turned to the former deputy mayor, Dmytro Zheman, to resolve the situation, as she claims he is involved in the organization where the conflict occurred. According to her, the office worker beat the 72-year-old woman after a dispute because the pensioner was not allowed to enter the organization's empty office. The woman came there, according to Olena Buynevych, because the benefactors promised to provide a contract for medical care by IntoSana. And there she was beaten.

Instead, Dmytro Zheman told Intent that he was looking into the situation, as he knew about the conflict in a slightly different way. He also said that the whole situation "looks very much like a political, dirty, order," but he still hopes that this is not the case.
